General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

GDPR is EU-wide legislation which determines how people’s personal data is processed and kept safe, and sets out the legal rights individuals have in relation to their own data. The regulation applies to all schools from 25 May 2018, and will apply even after the UK leaves the EU.

At The Brook we have been complying with Data Protection Law for many years and this is supported by our internal Data Protection policies and procedures.  In preparation for GDPR, we have updated all of our policies to be GDPR compliant and these are listed below.

We also have appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) who has responsibility for ensuring GDPR compliance at The Brook and is the main point of contact for any GDPR queries.
