Special Educational Needs
![]() |
We believe in offering all children access to a broad and balanced curriculum. Supporting children’s special educational needs (SEN) is integral to ensuring inclusion for all pupils. A child has special educational needs if he or she has a learning difficulty or disability that requires special educational provision to be made for them. |
We aim to recognise and address needs as early as possible to ensure children experience success and have every opportunity to make good progress.
West Sussex run an independent service for parents called The Parent Partnership Service. You can contact them if you have concerns about your child’s SEN. They also produce many different leaflets which you can download below, or alternatively speak to Mrs Sexton for further information: The West Sussex Parent Partnership also has a website, address is http://wsgfl.westsussex.gov.uk/pp |

We were delighted to be awarded the Dyslexia Friendly Schools status in September 2008. As a dyslexia friendly school we are aware of the specific needs of dyslexic children and endeavour to provide a rich learning environment for all children that will also benefit those with specific learning difficulties. We have an information guide for parents, which can be downloaded below: |
