School Nurse

Hello, I am Mrs Jardine, and I am the Welfare Officer at The Brook School. I originally trained as a Paediatric Nurse and worked for many years at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Brighton.

My role includes looking after the welfare of the children, from liaison with parents and school nurses, to providing advice on welfare issues and of course, looking after poorly children while at school.

I have listed some basic health guidance for you, which I hope you will all find useful. Please click here to view it.

We work closely with our School Nurses, who are employed by West Sussex Primary Care Trust. They visit the school regularly where they carry out screening on all reception children including height, weight and hearing checks. They are also available to see other children on parental request.

If you would like to speak to our school nurses, you can either contact Mrs Jardine in the School Office or call them directly on 01293 600464 (or go through the Crawley Hospital switchboard on 01293 600300).

Michelle Jardine
